Where I Help

Blanzy Consulting helps organizations understand what they have, decide what should change, and maintain a defensible record of why.

01

Technology Intelligence and Decision Support

Establish what is actually happening across a complex technology environment. Connect architecture, evidence, dependencies, risks, and decisions so leaders can separate verified facts from assumptions and gaps.

  • Current-state and evidence review
  • Dependency and constraint mapping
  • Architecture decision support
  • Risk, contradiction, and evidence-gap identification
02

Complex Systems Architecture

Design and evaluate systems spanning cloud, security, data, AI, networks, local infrastructure, and networked intelligence. Focus on how the whole system behaves, evolves, and fails—not isolated technology choices.

  • Cloud and platform architecture
  • Security architecture
  • AI and data infrastructure
  • Networked intelligence systems
03

Modernization and System Evolution

Move from the current operating reality to a better one without losing control of risk, continuity, or technical intent across cloud, platform, data, security, and legacy systems.

  • Migration and modernization strategy
  • Legacy and infrastructure reduction
  • Data-platform evolution
  • Sequenced technical roadmaps
04

AI-Augmented Engineering and Operations

Use AI as part of engineering and decision-making—not as a decorative feature. Design human-AI workflows, model and agent controls, evidence capture, and appropriate deployment patterns.

  • AI-assisted architecture and analysis
  • Human-AI operating models
  • Model and agent governance
  • AI infrastructure and operational controls

Blanzy Atlas

Operational Intelligence for Complex Technology

Atlas is a local-first engineering intelligence system created by Blanzy Labs. It connects projects, components, repositories, evidence, findings, decisions, and historical observations into an inspectable operational record.

Current capability

Atlas currently imports structured project manifests, inspects local Git repositories without executing their code, indexes Markdown evidence, records scan history, and produces deterministic evidence-backed status views.

Atlas supports the Blanzy Consulting approach by preserving system context, evidence, decisions, and change history throughout an engagement.

Built by Blanzy Labs

Atlas and AI do not replace experience. They make decades of judgment more persistent, scalable, inspectable, and reusable.

Blanzy Consulting provides accountable human architecture and decision leadership. AI assists analysis and engineering; Atlas supports memory, evidence, traceability, and status inspection.

The result is a consulting model that preserves context across time, exposes uncertainty, and supports decisions with inspectable evidence rather than relying on the latest meeting, dashboard, or presentation.

Method / 01—06

The Atlas Method

Six steps connect observation, decisions, engineering action, and validation while preserving evidence throughout the engagement.

  1. 01

    Observe

Establish what exists now through architecture material, repositories, operational evidence, interviews, and direct inspection.

  2. 02

    Connect

Map systems, teams, dependencies, decisions, constraints, risks, and evidence.

  3. 03

    Evaluate

Separate verified facts, assumptions, contradictions, missing evidence, and emerging concerns.

  4. 04

    Decide

Record explicit technology decisions, rationale, alternatives, ownership, and consequences.

  5. 05

    Evolve

Turn decisions and findings into sequenced action while maintaining the operational record.

  6. 06

    Validate

Confirm whether intended results were achieved and retain the supporting evidence.

Evidence / Selected Impact

Selected Impact

Factual outcomes from architecture, cloud, security, migration, operational, and commercial work across more than three decades.

  1. 01

More than a year providing architecture and migration leadership for a complex big-data platform modernization within a regulated financial-services environment.

  2. 02

Led infrastructure-modernization initiatives projected to save more than $20 million.

  3. 03

Reduced one AWS customer environment from approximately 3,000 instances to 500.

  4. 04

Advised global customers ranging from Fortune 20 enterprises to high-growth startups on cloud architecture, resilience, operations, adoption, and transformation.

  5. 05

Created Infrastructure Event Management while serving as an AWS Technical Account Manager, establishing a new service for planning and supporting critical customer events.

  6. 06

Built and led a Google Cloud security practice.

Experience / Current Practice

Seasoned Judgment, Current Engineering

The value is not experience alone, nor AI alone. It is the combination of seasoned judgment, current engineering, and systems that preserve evidence and context.

01

Pattern Recognition

More than 30 years across architecture, cloud, security, data, migration, and platform engineering provides pattern recognition across technology cycles.

02

Active Engineering

Current work through Blanzy Labs keeps architecture advice connected to systems, tools, AI-assisted workflows, and operating models being built now.

03

Evidence and Context

AI-assisted analysis and Atlas preserve evidence, decisions, context, and history so judgment can remain inspectable and reusable.

04

Accountable Leadership

Rob retains accountable human architecture and decision leadership from current-state assessment through system evolution and validation.

In Practice / Current Work

Current Technical Work

Blanzy Labs is the active engineering and incubation environment where new systems, tools, and operating models are built and tested.

Research and engineering / Mythadis

Coordination infrastructure for collective intelligence.

Mythadis is an active research and engineering program exploring coordination infrastructure for collective intelligence—connecting humans, AI systems, data, compute, storage, validation, and mission orchestration. This work informs Blanzy Consulting’s approach to networked intelligence systems, resilient architecture, AI coordination, local-first systems, and complex operational environments.
